The Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs participates in the Fourth Committee of the United Nations in New York, held on October 4, 5, 6, 2006, by a delegation composed of : Gajmoula Bint Abi- Baba Ahl Miyara - Bilal Ibrahim - Mohamed Moujahdi.


Corcas members participating in these works made the following statements:

Ms. Gajmoula Bent Abi:

"For today's meeting in the Fourth Committee of the United Nations concerning the Sahara issue, There were many interventions by professor Chauprade from France, as well as other interventions, which demonstrates the Moroccan position on the Sahara issue ". 

Mr. Ibrahim Bilali:

"The Moroccan participation comes within the challenges and strategic targets set by the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, ie reconciliation to find a solution to this long-standing problem that has lasted more than three decades. This settlement is the requirement by the Moroccan delegation to the international community to stop the long-standing suffering and tragedy of the Saharan population"

Mr. Mohamed Moujahdi:

" We stressed it as pilot and unique experience in institutional development; we should remove all that is likely to obfuscate a democratic transition and implementation of the principles of human rights in the region."

Mr. Baba Miyara:

"The autonomy issue is acceptable to many parties, who noted that the problem has lasted too long and a just solution agreed upon between the parties to the conflict must be found to put an end to this problem"
