The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held talks today, Monday September 18, 2023, with Tulia Ackson, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Tanzania.


She is on a working visit to the Kingdom at the head of a large parliamentary delegation.
During the talks, CORCAS chief briefed his hosts on the latest developments in the Moroccan Sahara issue.

In particular, at the African level, the great momentum of the support that many African countries are giving to the cause of Morocco's territorial integrity.

During his presentation, CORCAS head recalled the relevance of the solution Morocco has been putting on the negotiating table since 2007, namely the Moroccan autonomy initiative.

This initiative has been described by the United Nations and the international community as a serious, credible and realistic solution.

In this respect, a large number of countries consider it to be the one and only relevant solution for resolving the artificial conflict maintained by the intransigence of opponents of Morocco's territorial integrity.

These talks took place with the participation of CORCAS Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlat, member.
