The Secretary General of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), Dr. Maouelainin Ben khalihenna Maouelainin, received on Friday July 18th, 2008, at the Council headquarters, a delegation of central African journalists.



This delegation was composed of four journalists: Pierre Debato, President of the Media Centre in Central Africa, editor of the weekly Beafrika, head of the delegation, Michel Alkhaly Ngady, President of the Central African Independent Private Press Publishers’ Group (CAIPPG), editor of "Temps Nouveaux", Ferdinand Samba, Secretary General of the Central African Union of Journalists (CAUJ), editor of the Daily “ Le Démocrate”, Lin Judes Zosse-Toyoro, editor of the daily “Hirondelle”.
 
The CORCAS Secretary General has made a presentation to the Central African journalists on the history of the Sahara issue and on the progress made in the process at the level of the United Nations, in particular, the autonomy proposal presented by the Kingdom of Morocco as a solution for this issue.
 
Dr. Maouelainin has also presented to the delegation of journalists, the Corcas, its missions and the principles that led to its creation. He has also exposed the important work carried out by the Corcas, relating particularly to finding a solution for the issue, contributing significantly to the development of the Sahara region and development of autonomy project of the Sahara region. A presentation of the six electronic sites established by the Corcas has been made for the Central African journalists.

Statement:

Our concern was to come to Morocco to see reality closely especially in the Sahara. We got from CORCAS solid clarification about the Moroccan Sahara.
