« Regarding the Moroccan initiative for the Sahara, the Portuguese government has welcomed it, taking into consideration the necessity to find a political solution for the conflict as part of the UN principles, objectives and relevant resolutions (…). The Sahara issue is one of the obstacles to the Maghreb regional integration deepening and the creation of a peace, stability and prosperity area in the entire region; goals that the Portugal shares with its neighbors in the Maghreb”, has said M.
