 The Republic of Kenya continues to support the UN Security Council's stance regarding the Sahara issue, affirmed, here Wednesday, visiting Kenyan Vice Prime Minister and Trade Minister, Uhuru Kenyatta.



 Speaking to the press following his meeting with State Minister, Mohamed El Yazghi, Kenyatta noted that his country encourages the parties to come up with "a speedy resolution that actually enhances the integration not just of Morocco but also the entire [African] continent."

    The two ministers emphasized the long-standing relations between the peoples and governments of Morocco and Kenya.

    The Kenyan official, who is participating in the Conference of Trade Ministers of Africa and Latin America in Marrakech, expressed hope to boost bilateral relations, further consolidate technical cooperation, and set up a Moroccan-Kenyan forum.

    Kenyatta also said the conference constitutes an opportunity for Africa in order to improve its role in the world.

    For his part, Yazghi underlined that Morocco is highly interested in developing south-south relations, adding that the possibilities for bilateral cooperation are very important, notably at the economic and cultural levels.
