"The Hashemite King, His Majesty King Abdullah II reiterated the support by the Kingdom of Jordan to Morocco's territorial integrity and its support to the initiative of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to grant autonomy to Saharan provinces, within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty, and in harmony with the efforts by the international community, under the UN auspices, with a view to reaching a final political solution to the Moroccan Sahara issue, in order to guarantee stability and development to the Maghreb region" said a Moroccan-Jordanian statement released Tuesday, at the end of a three-day official visit to Morocco by His Majesty King Abdullah II and Queen Rania .

Jordan’s position stems from the "significance", underlined by the two Sovereigns in this statement to "activate the joint Arab action, on the basis of economic development, so as to guarantee the realization of expected progress, consolidate Arab solidarity within the policy of good neighbourliness and the consecration of the integrity and territorial inviolability of the Arab countries and their sovereignty. "
