In accordance with instructions by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God be with him, and in keeping with the provisions of the Dahir on the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), the Council’s President hereby advises that the CORCAS second regular session for 2007 will be held on 7-8 Dhul Hijja 1428H (17-18 December 2007) in the city of Smara on the theme: “Autonomy as a final solution to achieve reconciliation and dignified return to the homeland”




Consistent with the pertinent instructions of His Majesty the King, this session’s agenda will address transport matters, namely transport network and infrastructure to promote development and communications.

In addition to discussing the latest developments regarding the main national cause, the CORCAS will look into several questions pertaining to local development, take stock of the major accomplishments made, and study ambitious projects, current as well as planned ones.  It will also consider the best means to fulfil the legitimate aspirations of the populations, both to live up to the expectations of the Sovereign, and to improve the living conditions of the loyal subjects of Amir Al Muminin, the sons of the tribes and populations of the Moroccan Sahara, in order to achieve comprehensive, integrated development as part of the nation’s endeavours to consolidate the unified, democratic state dedicated to progress and solidarity, under the enlightened guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
