In a statement to the press following a meeting with Moroccan foreign minister Taeib Fassi Fihri the Italian official said that his country “can play an important role” in this respect “because we have many friends in the Maghreb countries”

He called on the international community to get substantialy involved  in order to achieve a final settlement to this question.

These talks between the two parties dealt equally with means to strengthen the bilateral relations in various areas
