Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, met on Thursday 31st October 2019 at the Council Headquarters with Victor Rolando Sousa Huanambal, Speaker of the Andean Parliament and Serrano Salgado Jose Ricardo, Vice Speaker of the Parliament of America Latin America and the Caribbean.
Corcas head spoke with his hosts, during this meeting attended by Dr. Maouelainin Ben Khallihenna Maouelainin, Secretary General and Ahmed Mghizlat, member, the latest developments in the Sahara.
Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid also presented the importance of the Moroccan initiative granting a large autonomy to the region, recalling that this solution hailed by all the UN resolutions, and which has been tabled on the negotiating table since April 2007, is the product of the design by the Saharawis themselves and who are represented by the Council.
These talks are taking place in parallel with the participation of the leaders of the Andean Parliaments, Latin America and the Caribbean at an international conference held in Rabat on 31 October and 1 November on "Parliaments and the challenge of food security" which is organized by the House of Councilors in partnership with the League of Senates of Africa and the Arab World, as well as the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization
