With the return of Morocco to the African institutional family, the African Union (AU) has become "stronger" than before, said Guinean President and AU Chairman, Alpha Conde.


"Some bad faith parties considered that the return of Morocco was going to break the African Union, but the African Union has become stronger once the Kingdom has recovered its natural place," he said during his participation in the works of the second edition of the International Conference on the Emergence of Africa (CIEA 2017), hosted by the Ivorian economic metropolis through 30th.


African countries are faced with a multitude of challenges, including the danger of terrorism, illegal immigration, development challenges, and energy deficit, he noted, noting that the Kingdom's involvement through its expertise and know-how in the management of these files can only be beneficial to all Africa.


"We may have discrepancies, but what should unite us in the face of identical problems is more important. The proof is that Morocco has returned by consensus of States, and the AU has emerged stronger than before, "he said, highlighting the commitment of the Kingdom under the leadership of HM the King Mohammed VI to work for an emancipated, emerging, developed and prosperous continent that has confidence in itself.
