Mr Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, met Monday, December 21, 2015, at the Council’s headqueters with a delegation of the Standing Committee of Transport and Communication at Parliament, chaired by Mr. Abu Mohamed Abu Chiaba, who is paying a working visit to Morocco.


During the meeting, attended by Dr. Maouelainin Ben Maouelainin Khallihenna, Secretary General and Mr. Khaddad Moussaoui Vice chairman and Mghizlat Ahmed member, Corcas chairman briefed on developments on the Sahara issue.

Developments that are marked by frozen negotiations on this artificial conflict, because of the intransigence of Polisario and Algeria, as well as increase of terrorist threats internationally and regionally.

Mr. Ould Errachid noted during his presentation the relevance of the solution implemented by Morocco on the table since 2007, indicating that the United Nations and the international community have recognized the credibility and realism of the plan.

This solution provides an interesting example to avoid Africa the risk of conflict and civil war.

Corcas chairman exchanged Morocco's relations with its African roots particularly through the southern provinces in the Sahara region, welcoming the opening and influence currently affecting Moroccan-African relations in the field of multidimensional cooperation.

The parliamentary delegation from Kenya arrived in Morocco on December 18, and will continue to until 24th of the same month in the context of strengthening relations between the parliamentary institutions of both countries.
