The Moroccan people commemorate tomorrow the 40th anniversary of the glorious Green March, a major moment to remember this historical event, unprecedented in the world, which will remains forever in the history of Morocco which continues its march towards progress and prosperity under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.

The anniversary of the Green March stands out this year by the launch of the project of extended regionalization, which gives concreteness to the development process and territorial integrity .
The long process leading to the territorial integrity of the Kingdom experienced numerous other important developments and significant effort following the recovery of the Sahara region in 1975.
This effort permanently made to improve the situation in the region has been accelerated by the strong momentum generated by HM King Mohammed VI with the establishment of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), and the announcement of the Moroccan Initiative of autonomy to put a final end to the artificial conflict over the Sahara.
The establishment of structures for development of human rights, namely the regional commissions in Laayoune and Dakhla of the National Council for Human Rights, is another important part of this process.
The commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Green March iis marked with the mobilization and constant vigilance of Moroccans for the first national cause as expressed in the Royal speech on the occasion 16th anniversary of the celebration of the Throne Day.
The commemoration of the November 6 illustrates the strong cohesion between the Throne and people, as reflected by unanimity and sacred values of the Moroccan nation by proclaiming renewed adherence to the philosophy and values in the history of the Kingdom which allowed the return of the southern provinces to the national unity, and also to re-emphasize the commitment of all Moroccans to their identity and total commitment to the national cause.
