The Moroccan people celebrate two famous occasions inspiring spirit of loyalty, lifelong infatuation and close cohesion between the glorious Alawite throne and people. The 61st anniversary of the King and People’s Revolution and the People (August 20) shows the best moments of cohesion in the national struggle of the heroic people of Morocco under the leadership of the glorious Alawite throne, and Youth Day (August 21) illustrates the concern of His Majesty King Mohammed VI about the status of that segment of the population for their involvement in building the future of the nation.


King and People’s Revolution is an important and decisive milestone in the struggle of Moroccans for decades and generations to overcome the colonial forces. They have thus built a unique model in the struggle of the peoples of the influence of colonialism. Through this step, Moroccans gave the example of strong commitment and unity of the various components of the Moroccan people. They sacrificed everything to defend their religious and national foundations to preserve their Moroccan identity.

This historical saga started August 20, 1953 when the brutal hand of the colonizer held exiled hero of liberation, the late King Mohammed V and sherifian royal family far from their homeland and people. The Moroccan people remained united against this disastrous project. they agreed to make sacrifices for the dignity of the country, preserving its sovereignty and its components, and maintaining the legality and legitimacy by the return of the symbol of national unity, bearer of freedom and independence.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI said in his speech on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of King and People’s Revolution, "If several generations of our faithful people did not live the revolution against colonization, They live thanks to God, a new revolution in our direction in the areas of human development, socio- economic progress and good citizenship in the same sincere nationalist spirit and firm cohesion between the throne and the people. "

The celebration of Youth Day gives this sincere patriotic spirit and the cohesion between the throne and the people more power. His Majesty King Mohammed VI repeatedly said that large projects, initiated by the kingdom to build a caring society attached to its identity, cannot achieve their goals without the help of the Moroccan youth through their creative capacity.

Morocco has made considerable efforts to improve the situation of young people and enable them to access all the functions they deserve and allow them improve their skills in order to participate actively in the development process.
