This model supports effectiveness of human rights

The new development model for the Sahara "supports the effectiveness of human rights " , a dimension that illustrates the firm commitment to put the citizen at the heart of the reform momentum underway, said Tuesday in Geneva President of the Economic , Social and Environmental Council (CESE ) , Nizar Baraka.


In a statement to MAP at the end of an international seminar on " Development in autonomous regions ," Mr. Baraka noted that the Moroccan model "has a certain advantage, that have been established in a logic consultation with communities, civil society and politicians . "

The focus is made first , he said, on the improvement of living conditions of citizens on the basis of an integrated approach " that supports the effectiveness of human rights , but also the need to come within a human , sustainable and sustained. "

For Baraka , it is important to present the development model of the southern provinces " in the context of global experiences in development for autonomy."

The seminar was led by Nizar Baraka , as well as academics from Belgium, Portugal , Philippines, Iraq and Switzerland.

The panelists made a comparative analysis between the new development of the southern provinces of the Kingdom and development plans implemented in the framework of autonomic experiences in Portugal ( Azores and Madeira ), Belgium (Wallonia ) Philippines ( Mindanao ) and Iraq ( Kurdistan) .
