China against undermining territorial integrity of States and for respecting their sovereignty (Chinese China)

China reaffirmed by its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Wang Yi, who is paying December 22 to 24, 2013  a working visit to Morocco that its "position on the Sahara issue is constant and unchanged".


This statement came after the working session held on Monday in Rabat between the Chinese Minister and his Moroccan counterpart , Salaheddine Mezouar.

The Chinese Minister said that China appreciates the tireless efforts made by Morocco in the framework of the United Nations, adding that China showed understanding toward the concerns of Morocco.


Chinese Minister expressed that China as a permanent member of the Security Council , will continue to play a constructive role and invites parties to pragmatism and flexibility to continue negotiations on the basis of Council security resolutions, to achieve a just, lasting and mutually acceptable settlement. 


The Head of the Chinese diplomacy added that his "country and Morocco share a common position, which is not to undermine the territorial integrity of States and not to interfere in their internal affairs and respect their sovereignty " welcoming " bilateral coordination both at the United Nations and other International Organizations ."


For his part, Salaheddine Mezouar said that "Morocco considers that the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with China is an opportunity to develop relations between the two countries. this occasion will be marked by signing a multidimensional Strategic Partnership regarding the political, economic and cultural levels , dedicated to economic development and industrial and financial investment, while establishing a tripartite approach to the development of the African continent. "


Following this meeting, the two ministers had signed two agreements, the first on mutual exemption of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and service passports and the second on economic and technical cooperation through a donation of 20 million Chinese Yuan (about 27 million MAD) for Morocco. This approach is part of creating an environment conducive to strengthening ties between Rabat and Beijing , said Mezouar, after the signing ceremony.
