The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, held talks on Monday, December 3, 2012, with Maria Laura Leguizamon, member of the Argentinean Senate, who is paying a working visit to Morocco.


The meeting focused the latest developments in the Sahara issue, especially in light of the Moroccan autonomy initiative, as a realistic and credible solution to the artificial conflict over the Sahara. This question cannot remain at an impasse because of the suffering of people the Polisario camps in Tindouf, as well as the evolution of the security and political situation in the Sahel region.

This meeting was attended by, the Council’s Secretary General, Dr Maouelainin Ben Khalihanna Maoulainin, Khaddad El Moussaoui, Vice-Chairman and Ahmed Mghizlat, Corcas member.
