Khalihenna Ould Errachid, Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, received Wednesday, October 17, 2012, a Kenyan parliamentary delegation led by the Vice President of the House of Deputies Mr. Farah Maalim, which is visiting Morocco October 14-19, 2012.


CORCAS Chairman spoke with the Kenyan delegation about the latest developments in the Sahara, including the status of negotiations for a political solution launched after the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco, which was submitted to the United Nations and described by the international community as serious and credible.

Khalihenna Ould Errachid has made a presentation to his guests on the evolution of regionalization in Morocco and its political and economic implications for the consolidation of democracy in Morocco.

This evolution is born with the Moroccan autonomy proposal which helped revive the process of settlement of the Sahara issue, which was a historical impasse.

During the visit, Mr Farah Maalim Mohamed was accompanied by Mr Adan Keynan, vice president of the Committee on Defence and Foreign Affairs at the House of Deputies in Kenya.

In addition to the interviews this delegation will hold with several Moroccan officials, it will pay a visit to Casablanca.

From the CORCAS side, the meeting was attended by Corcas Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Ben khalihanna Maoulainin, Moussaoui Kaddad, CORCAS Vice Chairman and M oulay Ahmed Mguizlat Council member.
