Mrs Maalainine Saadani talked about human rights violation in Tindouf

The Royal advisory council for Saharan affairs is taking part  today , in the 21st session of the human rights council at the UN headquarters in Geneva in a round table about “ human rights in the armed conflicted areas” , It is an opportunity to to tackle once more the catastrophic situation of sahroui inhabitants detained in Tindouf camps located in Algeria .

Mrs. Saadani is  representing the council in an interactive legal session supervised by the international non-governmental organization ” OCAPROCE INTERNATIONAL”  represented by Mrs. Saadani in Morocco .She will give in her lecture an accurate view of the deteriorating legal situation of sahraouis who are living under the Algerian army’s control and the Polisario’s  armed militias, . They have been living for over three decades in a total denial of their basic rights recognized internationally. Among others the liberty of movement and expression and association. It is indeed a worrying and dangerous situation, therefore Algeria being the host country is taking full responsibility about this situation and the humanitarian, social and security consequences in the area as whole .

This item is an opportunity to renew the appeal to the international community from the heart of the human rights  UN council ; its current session taking place in Geneva between the 10th  of September and the 28th of October 2012  to  free the inhabitants of the camps detained inside the Algerian territory in order  to take a census, following all host countries which  have allowed  the HCR to take a census of its  refugees , and then put an end to this exclusive Algerian case , because it is nothing but an abnormal and unique  case  in the whole international protection history and the history of the HCR.

In her lecture Mrs. Saadani will remind the participants of the positive horizon of human rights practices which will re unite all female and male sahraouis in one homeland under the courageous and ambitious project of the substantial autonomy for the southern provinces under the Moroccan sovereignty.

In this round table princess Michelin Makoo Dajoma chairwoman of the “ OCAPROCE INTERNATIONAL” organization will participate, in addition to its representatives in the UN bureaux in Geneva , New York and Vienna , also other personalities in the field of human rights will take part in this round table such as Professor Alfred De zayass from the international institute of diplomatic relations in Geneva, Mr. altaf Hussein from the institute of international relations in Kashmir, Mr. François Shemith the representative of the non –governmental organization OMAEP involved in activities in the fields of childhood, family and education within the UN bureau in Geneva
