The Throne Day, anniversary during which the Moroccan people honor with pride, strength and strong ties attaching it to the glorious Alawite Throne, has this year a sense of continuity and consolidation of the very strong momentum launched in 2011 by adopting the new constitution.
This renewed momentum further strengthens the position of Morocco in the management of the Sahara. This consolidation is added to the the Moroccan initiative granting autonomy to the Sahara and the establishment of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, who created a new momentum which rehabilitated the hope of Moroccan Sahrawis in particular and the entire Moroccan people, to end of the ordeal of families and reduce tension of this sterile and artificial conflict, in the Maghreb region.
Despite the fact that other parties persisted in their attempt to bring this issue to the impasse, hampering all efforts made to find a way-out, the unanimity of the international community on the credibility and seriousness of the Moroccan proposal is regularly stressed, which makes autonomy initiative, despite dilatory maneuvers, a serious and credible solution for this issue which has lasted too long.
