The Minister Delegate for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr Youssef Amrani met, Thursday, July 19, 2012 in Rabat, with the French Minister Delegate for Development, Mr. Pascal Canfin, who is paying a working visit to Morocco.

On this occasion, Mr Canfin wished to reiterate that "France's position remains unchanged on the Sahara issue."

This position is in favor of "a political solution under the United Nations and respects Security Council resolutions."

The French Minister Delegate noted on the other hand, that "the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco is the only credible basis on the negotiating table," thus rejecting any confusion that separatist propaganda wanted to set on the occasion of the visit of the head of French diplomacy in Algeria.

For his part, Mr. Amrani welcomed the rich and deep partnership uniting Morocco and France. This partnership, he said, is based on exceptional bilateral relations, based on a deep friendship and shared values that are reflected in particular by a convergence of views on regional and international issues.

The Deputy Minister also added that this partnership of excellence is distinguished by "mutual trust, closeness, and intimacy" that characterize this exceptional relationship stating that Dialogue is part of regular high-level consultations between Paris and Rabat.

After this interview, Mr. Amrani announced that as part of this regular consultation, Morocco will soon host the 11th High Level Meeting.
