The United Nations Independent Expert and Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights, Ms. Farida Shaheed, praised the Corcas experience in the promotion of cultural rights, in her report, Friday, June 22, 2012, before the 20th session of the Human rights Council in Geneva.



In terms of sharing and disseminating cultural information and networking of data on cultural heritage, "the independent expert was impressed by the work conducted by the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs."

 Corcas "has created a website on the Sahrawi traditions and cultural life, in eight languages," says the report of Ms. Shaheed, while regretting that the Amazigh language is not used in this site.

 The UN Expert and Rapporteur, who presented, at Friday's session, a report on her visit to two countries: Morocco and Austria said that now she will report the cultural rights situation, once a year.

 Concerning her visit to Morocco, she highlighted all the achievements that Morocco has made in recognition of its cultural diversity, notably through the adoption of a new constitution that institutionalizes different components of this diversity, as well as the various plans and initiatives that have been adopted to achieve this breakthrough.
