A Moroccan delegation will take part on February 9-10 in Geneva in a meeting to examine the Action Plan of confidence-building measures of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), aiming to improve the humanitarian conditions of the population in the Tindouf camps.



 The Geneva meeting will took place in accordance with what has been agreed on in the 4th and 5th informal meetings on the Sahara in Manhasset, held on December 16-18, 2010 and January 21-23, 2011, said on Tuesday a statement of Morocco's Foreign Ministry.

     The meeting will be chaired by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres, in the presence of Morocco, Algeria, Mauritania, the polisario, as well as the Special Representative and the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Sahara.

       It aims to examine the humanitarian program for the exchange of family visits, which allows family members living in the Moroccan southern provinces visit their relatives in the Tindouf camps and vice-versa, the same source added.
