Composed of members of the French National Assembly, from the UMP majority and the opposition Socialist Party, members of the Franco-Moroccan Parliamentary Friendship Association, the delegation was composed of Mr. Jean Roatta, president of the Moroccan-French Friendship Group and MP from the Bouches du Rhone, Yves Deniaud MP from the Orne, Mrs. Sophie Delong from the Haute Marne, Frédéric Cuvillier from Pas de Calais, Jean-Louis Christ, from Haut Rhin, Claude Goasguen, deputy from Paris, Jean-Luc Reitzer, Haut Rhin, Mr. Loic Bouvard from Morbilhan Michel Herbillon from Val de Marne and Alain Marc from Aveyron.
At this working meeting, Corcas chairman briefed on the historical process of the Sahara issue. Both parties reviewed the latest developments on this issue in light of ongoing negotiations and the Moroccan initiative granting autonomy to the Sahara region, which initiative was welcomed by all the international community, as credible and serious.
This meeting took place in the presence of Corcas Secretary General Dr. Maouelainin Benkhalinenna Maouelainin, Vice Chairman, Mr. Khedad El Moussaoui and Mr. Ahmed Mguizlate Corcas member.
The French parliamentary delegation is visiting Morocco, from 25 to 29 January; it conducted a series of meetings with several Moroccan officials and with the Moroccan group of MPs members of the Franco-Moroccan Friendship Association.
