At this meeting, Corcas chairman briefed on the historical process of the Sahara issue. The two sides reviewed the latest developments in this matter in light of ongoing negotiations and the Moroccan initiative granting autonomy to the Sahara region, which initiative was welcomed by the entire international community, as credible and serious.
The Cameroonian delegation, chaired by Mr Cavaye Yeguie is composed of Ms. Cavaye Fadimatou, Ngalla Esther Ntalla, MP, Chairperson of the Committee on Social and Family Affairs, Mvondo Assam Bonaventure, MP Vice Chairman of the Committee on Defence and Security, Njitone Mesume Emmanuel, Director of Legislative and linguistic Affairs, Bouba Simala, Senior Studies official at the Office of the President of the National Assembly and Owono Zang Gabriel, Chief of North Africa Department of Foreign Affairs
The talks took place in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Mguizlate, Corcas member.
The Cameroonian parliamentary delegation is currently carrying out a work visit which began Jan. 9 and will end on the 15th. It has already conducted numerous meetings with the Moroccan government and parliamentary officials.
