Moulay Ismaili, father of Sahrawi activist Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, called upon the international community to intervene in order to put an end to the sufferings and torture inflicted to his son by the polisario militia with the support of Algeria.

In a press conference on Saturday in Rabat, Moulay Ismaili seemed to be traumatized by his son's unknown fate.

He said that the fate of his son is still unknown since his abduction and that no one of his family knows if he is alive or dead, adding that he fears that Mustapha Ould Sidi Mouloud could be killed or mutilated.

He wondered why the polisario, a puppet in hands of Algeria, issued a false announcement on the release of Ould Sidi Mouloud, noting that Algeria and the polisario are trying to fool the world and buy time in the hope that the issue of the Sahrawi militant will come to an end.

Moulay Ismaïli called on all Sahrawis held captive in the camps of Tindouf to do their best to return to the homeland and take advantage of the Moroccan autonomy initiative.

“I call on all Sahrawis to join the homeland to enjoy a life of freedom and dignity which they deserve,” he underlined.

The Action Committee for the Release of Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud said that the “polisario”, upon the orders of Algeria, is still inflicting mental and physical torture to Sidi Mouloud to make him give up his support for the autonomy project.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Committee says the available pieces of information confirm that the “polisario”, upon the orders of Algeria, is still torturing Ould Sidi Mouloud and the false announcement of his release is part of a disinformation maneuver aimed at deceiving international human rights organizations.
