In a meeting with a Moroccan delegation composed of politicians, MPs, trade-unionists, media and youth actors, along with women actors, Zaoui underscored "the constant stance of the leadership of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, rejecting any separatist tendency which can only aggravate the balkanization of the Arab world."
The delegation, which was earlier received by Libya's president, Colonel Muammar Gadhafi, released a statement in which it noted that Gadhafi praised HM king Mohammed VI's wisdom and perceptiveness.
The Guide of the Libyan revolution also deplored the dispute between Algeria and Morocco, recalling Morocco's memorable role in supporting the Algerian revolution
He also deplored the closure of borders between Morocco and Algeria, the statement said, adding that Gadhafi called for these borders to be opened, a thing that has become “a strategic need.”
Moreover, Gadhafi deplored the absence of Morocco from the African Union, describing this absence as a “loss for Africa.”
