Colombia reiterated its support for a political, final and consensual solution to the Sahara issue on the basis of realism and consensus, as defined by the UN Security Council, to find a solution to this regional conflict.



This came in a meeting of Moroccan Secretary General to the Foreign ministry Youssef Amrani with Colombian Foreign vice-minister Clemencia Forrero Ucros.

The Moroccan delegation, led by Amrani, informed the Colombian officials about the latest developments of the Sahara issue and recalled Morocco's efforts to reach a political, final and consensual solution to this regional dispute.

  Amrani and Ucros discussed means to promote bilateral relations in the different fields.

  The two officials noted that Morocco and Colombian can foster bilateral cooperation notably within the framework of the South Atlantic Peace and Cooperation Zone (ZPCAS) and the Lanzarote Initiative for Atlantic Cooperation.
