Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS), received Thursday at the Council headquarters in Rabat, a delegation from Convergence for Mali's Development Party (CODEM), chaired by 1st Vice-President, Mamadou Diakite.

During this meeting, Mr. Ould Errachid Khalihenna explained to his guests the latest developments of the Sahara issue and the freeze on negotiations due to lack of positive response from the Polisario Front and Algeria to the appeal to realism and rationalism, represented by the Moroccan initiative to grant broad autonomy to Sahrawis ending a conflict that has lasted too long.

CORCAS chairman welcomed the CODEM position, which is the country’s fifth political force that supports the Moroccan proposal and territorial integrity of the Kingdom. He also commended historical relations between Morocco and Mali, urging the Party’s leadership to act for the return of Morocco to the organization of the African Union.

CODEM delegation, which is paying a visit to the Kingdom, consists of politicians, party activists and economic actors.

Dr. Maouelainin Benkhalihenna Maouelainin, CORCAS Secretary General and Moulay Ahmed Mghizlate, Council member were present at this meeting.
