The Moroccan autonomy initiative in the southern provinces is a ‘serious proposal”underligned the British diplomat during a press conference, hoping that a final settlement of the issue will be reached in the framework of the Security Council.

Mr Jenkins made it clear that the British Moroccan relationship knows a steady development, in terms of economic cooperation and particularly in the field of finance services.

Being politically stable, and taking into account its strategic position, Morocco offers numerous investment opportunities, he added.

The British diplomat greeted , in this occasion, the “positive” efforts  deployed by Morocco in the economic and social fields, noting that the advanced status granted by the European union to the Kingdom of Morocco, has crowned the advances registered  by Morocco in various fields .

Mr Jenkins  made it clear that this first visit he pays to Morocco, comes in the context of examining means to promote the bilateral cooperation , and exchange of views between officials of the two countries  about a number of regional issues .
