"We support the Moroccan position (on the Sahara), which we consider a responsible and lasting position," Toury told the press after a meeting with Foreign Minister, Taib Fassi Fihri.
"Gambia supports Morocco and will remain on its side," the Gambian official said, underlining the "excellent friendly and historical" ties between the two countries.
He said the meeting with Fassi Fihri was also an opportunity to examine several issues of common interest, notably in the field of security.
The Moroccan Foreign minister said the Gambian position is based on “history and international legality.”
He also noted that the meeting was an opportunity to recall the visit of King Mohammed VI to Gambia and its positive impact on bilateral relations.
