Italy's "Democracy and Subsidiarity" political party has called on the Government to open a consulate in the Kingdom's Southern Provinces, which "abound in economic and social opportunities."

The region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab has the potential to become in the next ten years as a new, integrated and innovative economic pole, that is open to Africa, said Tuesday, Moubarack Lo, Director General of the Bureau of Economic Prospective (BPE) of Senegal.

A parliamentary intergroup in support of the autonomy plan for the Moroccan Sahara has just been set up on the initiative of several MPs and senators belonging to different Italian political groups, announced on Monday MPs Marco Di Maio and Urania Papatheu in a press release.

The minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad, Mrs. Olivia Ragnaghnewendé Rouamba, reiterated Burkina Faso's support for the territorial integrity and national unity of Morocco as well as for the Moroccan autonomy plan, "which constitutes the only credible and realistic solution" for the settlement of the dispute over the Sahara.
