Djibouti welcomed, before the members of the 4th Committee of the UN General Assembly in New York, the autonomy initiative presented by Morocco to end the regional dispute over the Sahara, stressing that this initiative is highlighted in all Security Council resolutions adopted since 2007.

The State of Qatar has stressed, in New York, that the "constructive" autonomy initiative presented by Morocco is the basis for any realistic and sustainable solution to the regional dispute over the Sahara.

Belgium considers Morocco's autonomy plan, presented in 2007, as "a good basis for a solution accepted by the parties" regarding the Sahara issue.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, has strongly denounced, in his report to the Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara issue, the drastic and unacceptable restrictions imposed on MINURSO by the "polisario", since its unilateral withdrawal from the cease-fire.

The autonomy plan proposed by the Kingdom to settle definitively the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara is winning the minds and convictions, underlined the political expert Mustapha Tossa.
