The Moroccan autonomy plan is the only realistic proposal on the table that would provide a viable future for the people of the Sahara and meet the international community's requirements, vice-president of the Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) said on Wednesday.

The president of the League of Human Rights in the Sahara and Corcas member, Baba Miyara, called on Algeria to guarantee  free movement right of people sequestered in Tindouf in accordance with international charters. 

France commended anew as "a breakthrough" Morocco's proposal to grant substantial autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, under the Kingdom's sovereignty.

A group of youth who recently joined the motherland, called on civil society organizations to intervene to lift the blockade imposed on the people detained in the Tindouf camps and allow them to return home. At the same time, a new group of 21 people joined Morocco after having fled the camps in Tindouf.

US "Commentary Magazine" highlighted on Thursday the legitimacy of Morocco's initiative to grant substantial autonomy to its Southern provinces (the Sahara), while stressing the support of the international community to this plan.
