A demonstration to support the autonomy project in the southern provinces of the Kingdom under Moroccan sovereignty, was held Thursday afternoon at Las Palmas, with the participation of several members of the Moroccan community in the island of Gran Canaria.

Algeria's responsibility in Tindouf camps remains "indivisible, nontransferable and inalienable," until the closure of these camps and the return of its population to their home land, Morocco, the Kingdom's Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva Omar Hilale said on Wednesday.

French Ambassador to Rabat Bruno Joubert said, on Monday, that Morocco's initiative to grant substantial autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, is an "important step forward" to settle this issue.

The famous singer and Mauritanian MP MAALOUM Ben Al Midah expressed Saturday her support to the project of autonomy in the southern provinces proposed by Morocco to definitively resolve the conflict artificial Sahara. 

It is in Algeria's interest to play a positive role in the settlement of the Sahara issue through "accepting Morocco's territorial integrity," Secretary General of the Muslim Federation of Spain (FEME) Yusuf Fernandez said.
