Five people have recently left the Tindouf camps, southwest of Algeria, to join their motherland, Morocco, after they got fed up with the hollow promises given over 30 years by the polisario leaders in Tindouf.

The American NGO "Teach the Children International" has accused the Polisario mercenaries of embezzling humanitarian aid destined for sahrawis sequestered in Tindouf camps (South-East Algeria).

Morocco calls on the international community to exert tangible pressures on the other parties to find a solution to the Sahara issue, Minister of Communication, government Spokesman, Khalid Naciri, said on Thursday.

A group of 17 Moroccans of Sahrawi origins, including two women and two children, fled the camps of Tindouf, south-west Algeria, and returned to their motherland, Morocco. Speaking to the press on Friday, the group, aged between 20 and 56 years old, recounted the suffering they endured in the camps and expressed their happiness for having joined their relatives in their homeland.

A delegation of US Senate staffers held, Wednesday in the city of Laayoune, a number of meetings with the city's local representatives and NGOs and enquired about the economic and social achievements in the region.
