The terrorist group "Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb" (known as AQIM) seeks to reach the Atlantic from the Sahara by penetrating polisario and offering services to it, US Fox News channel said on Friday.

UN Secretary General's Personal Envoy Christopher Ross announced, on Saturday in Manhasset (near New York), that new informal talks on the Sahara will be held on January 21-22 and in March 2011.

Laayoune events revealed that the Polisario has no political agenda against the autonomy proposal presented by Morocco," said the Egyptian newspaper Rouz Al Youssef.

The London-based international human-rights organization Amnesty International (AI) has denounced the lack of access to Algeria, including to the Tindouf camps (southwestern Algeria), controlled by the polisario separatists.

The injustice done to people suffering in Tindouf camps by Polisario and Algeria "must be repaired," said on Sunday Kathryn Porter Cameron, Chairwoman of the Leadership Council for Human Rights, one of the most important human rights NGOs in the United States.
