Members of the Moroccan civil society currently taking part in the 11th World Social Forum foiled, on Sunday, manoeuvres and provocation attempts by a handful of separatists backed by Spanish participants during the event's opening march.

Moroccan associative actors participating in the World Social Forum (WSF) in Dakar denounced, on Monday, anti-democratic acts committed by the polisario's henchmen, who flagrantly violated the Forum's Charter.

Morocco's autonomy initiative, presented by the Kingdom to settle once and for all the artificial conflict over the Sahara, is a credible and serious proposal which offers guarantees to Sahrawis, said Juan Martos Quesada, Spanish academic and expert in Arab and Islamic studies.
