The resolution of the European Parliament (EP) is hasty and biased and Morocco will prove, next December, to the European Parliament "the biased, unfair and unbalanced nature of its resolution, and demonstrate the political and legal reality of Laayoune's events, Moroccan Foreign Minister has said.

Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero affirmed that the truth, which is uncovering concerning the latest events of Laayoune, will be hard to accept by pro-polisario groups in Spain.

The investigation conducted in Laayoune by the international organization Human Rights Watch (HRW) confirmed the death toll announced by the Moroccan authorities, HRW emergencies director Peter Boukaert said.

A video relating the crimes perpetrated by militias and individuals with criminal records against security services who peacefully intervened to break up the Gdiem Izik camp was screened on Monday in Rabat.
