Benin described Monday at the United Nations in New York the Moroccan autonomy plan for the Sahara as "relevant" and warned against "the humanitarian situation " in Tindouf camps, Algeria.

Morocco called again on Wednesday, UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to proceed in accordance with its mandate, with the registration and identification of populations in Tindouf camps.

The Kingdom of Bahrain reiterated Monday before the 193 members states of the General Assembly of the UN, its “unwavering position of principle” of “solidarity” with Morocco’s “territorial integrity” and the issue of the “Moroccan Sahara”.

Morocco has reiterated its "total commitment to the political process, under the aegis of the United Nations organization, on the basis of clear parameters set by the UN Security council in its latest resolutions, to reach a political consensus-based solution" to the Sahara issue, said Morocco's minister of foreign affairs and cooperation before the UN general assembly.

Spain supports the quest of “a fair, lasting and mutually acceptable solution” to the Sahara issue, said on Wednesday in New York, president of the Spanish government, Mariano Rajoy.
