The British Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House, based in London) has welcomed today the approach adopted by Morocco to settle the Sahara issue based on socio -economic development.

There have been many reactions of satisfaction over the results of the royal visit to the United States, especially by representatives of the southern provinces, sheikhs, associative actors and parliamentarians.

The French Senate said in a report that Algeria, which, on a regular basis, links the reopening of its borders with Morocco to the Sahara issue, is actually raising the level of its involvement in the Sahara issue.

Morocco Caucus at the U.S. Congress reiterated its strong support for the Moroccan autonomy proposal in the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty, and recalled for " firm position " of the U.S. administration on this issue in a letter to President Barack Obama on the eve of the working visit on Friday  to the United States by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
