In his latest report to the Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres emphasized the need for Algeria's strengthened commitment to achieving a political solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Belgium expressed its support on Thursday for the autonomy Initiative presented by Morocco in 2007, placing the Sahara region "within the framework of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and national unity," stressing that it will act "as of now on diplomatic and economic plans in line with this position."

Lebanon reiterated on Tuesday its position in support of Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory.

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines reiterated, Tuesday in New York, its support for Morocco’s Autonomy plan, "the only solution" to definitively settle the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The autonomy initiative in Morocco’s southern provinces, presented by the Kingdom, is the only viable solution to the artificial regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, given its credibility, seriousness, realism and the broad international support it enjoys, according to the Malabo Declaration issued at the end of the opening session of the second ordinary session of the Parliament of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), held on Wednesday in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
