The historical rights of Morocco over its Sahara are undeniable especially since, for more than twelve centuries, the Kingdom is the only state formed between the Mediterranean and the Senegal River, said the French expert Charles Saint-Prot.

Morocco made during this year huge achievements regarding the issue of its territorial integrity, said on Thursday Communication minister, government spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi during a press briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting.

The editor of the Gabonese newspaper "Union", Lin-Joël Ndembet, said the autonomy plan proposed by Morocco in order to settle the artificial conflict over the Sahara is "a bold solution" that is able to write "a new page in the history of the region."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Salaheddine Mezouar, met on Monday October 19th, 2015, with the UN Secretary General's Personal Envoy for the Sahara, Mr. Christopher Ross.

Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Burundi to the United Nations, Albert Shingiro, described Wednesday in New York, the autonomy plan presented by Morocco for a final settlement of the Sahara issue as "realistic and viable" option to reach a political solution to the conflict.
