Estonia reiterated, on Tuesday, its support for the autonomy plan, presented in April 2007 by Morocco, to settle the Moroccan Sahara issue, describing the plan as a “good, serious and credible basis for an agreed solution between all parties,” while “encouraging other governments to join this position."

The United States' reaffirmation of its recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara sends "a strong message that upholds the truth and reality on the ground" and "paves the way for peace and regional stability," said David Aaronson, an American expert from the Washington-based think tank, The Heritage Foundation.

The autonomy initiative proposed by Morocco as a solution to the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara enjoys the support of several Peruvian political parties, said the President of the Peruvian political party Fuerza Popular (Popular Force), Keiko Fujimori, on Monday in Rabat.
