Several Latin American petitioners underlined before the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly the relevance of Morocco's autonomy plan as the best solution to end the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Bolivia said, at the Fourth UN Committee, in favor of a negotiated political solution to the Sahara issue, which is just, sustainable and mutually acceptable, in accordance with the UN Charter and the relevant resolutions of the the General Assembly and the Security Council.

Kuwait has reiterated to the United Nations its support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative in the Sahara as a "constructive plan to achieve a mutually acceptable solution".

The Kingdom of Lesotho issued a Note from its Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations formalizing its decision to "suspend all declarations or decisions" relating to the status of the Sahara and so-called "rasd", committing to "actively support the United Nations-led political process", and "positive neutrality in all subregional, regional and international meetings" referring to this issue.

The government of Antigua and Barbuda reaffirmed, on Friday in New York, the "Moroccan identity of the Sahara", and stressed that the solution to the conflict "must be under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco".
