The Kingdom of Eswatini on Tuesday opened a consulate general in Laayoune, the 7th diplomatic representation to be inaugurated in this city of the Moroccan Sahara in less than a year.

The Republic of Guinea-Bissau opened on Friday a consulate general in Dakhla. The inauguration ceremony of this consulate was co-chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, and his Bissau-Guinean counterpart Suzi Carla Barbosa.

"Anyone who engages in provocations violates international law and opposes the United Nations," Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Nasser Bourita, said Friday in Dakhla, stressing that this attitude is not foreign to groups that operate according to a gang logic.

Yemen hailed on Thursday before the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly, Morocco's "tireless efforts" for a just, durable and consensual solution to the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.

The Kingdom of Eswatini expressed on Thursday before the Fourth Committee of the UN General Assembly its support for the Moroccan identity of the Sahara and for the autonomy initiative as a "solution of compromise".
