The partnership between Morocco and the European Union (EU) in agriculture and fisheries is at the mercy of repeated lawsuits filed by an entity with no legal status or capacity to act or speak on behalf of the Sahrawi population.

Latin American and African civil society actors have stressed the importance of supporting the Moroccan autonomy initiative as a serious, credible and objective mechanism and as the only basis to achieve a just and lasting solution to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.

The unprecedented international support for the Moroccanness of the Sahara and the spectacular successes of Moroccan diplomacy on all fronts, including that of human rights, have reduced the thesis of the separatists and their mentors to what it is: a web of lies, manipulation and instrumentalization.

Burundian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation Albert Shingiro reiterated, Thursday in Rabat, his country's support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its national unity in accordance with the UN Charter, and reaffirmed Burundi's support for the exclusive settlement of the Sahara issue by the United Nations through the autonomy plan, as the only solution to this dispute.

Morocco's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, ambassador Omar Hilale, alerted the UN Secretary-General and the Security Council to the massive and systematic violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in the Tindouf camps in Algeria.
