In his latest report to the Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara, Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, deplored that progress in the political process on the Moroccan Sahara, facilitated by his Personal Envoy, remained difficult.

United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, on Thursday released his annual report on the Moroccan Sahara, in which he recommends that the Security Council extend the mandate of MINURSO for one year, until October 31, 2025.
