Morocco's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva, Omar Zniber, recalled on Wednesday, during the debates held in the framework of the 47th session of the Human Rights Council, the direct responsibility of Algeria in the persistence of the ordeal endured by the populations of the Tindouf camps, deprived of their most basic rights, and used by the authorities of this country as a business.

A group of several countries reaffirmed, Tuesday, before the Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva, its strong support for the territorial integrity of Morocco and the serious efforts made by the Kingdom for the settlement of the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.

Papua New Guinea lauded, before the UN C-24, the "praiseworthy" initiative of autonomy presented by Morocco to solve the Sahara issue.

Burkina Faso welcomed, before the United Nations Committee of 24, the investments made by Morocco in favor of the populations of the Moroccan Sahara within the framework of the new development model launched in 2015 which made it possible to empower the inhabitants of this region. 

Djibouti affirmed before the United Nations C-24 that the Moroccan autonomy initiative is "an excellent basis for discussion to reach a negotiated solution" to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.
