Non-governmental organizations sounded the alarm on Friday before the United Nations Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva over serious violations committed by polisario separatists against children and women in the Tindouf camps in southwestern Algeria.

Several NGOs drew the attention of the international community on Friday, at the 60th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) in Geneva, to the persistence of slavery practices in the camps of Tindouf.

Sahrawi human rights defenders denounced, on Wednesday, during the 60th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, the suppression of dissenting voices and the political exploitation of the population held in the Tindouf camps in southwestern Algeria, where the Polisario separatist group is based.

Some forty countries reaffirmed on Tuesday their support for Morocco's full sovereignty over its Saharan Provinces during the 60th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC).

A Kenyan parliamentary delegation currently visiting the Kingdom has praised the development momentum witnessed in Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
