The Coalition of Moroccan Associations in Europe (CAME) urged the international community to pressure the Algerian regime into releasing the Sahrawi population in captivity in Tindouf.

It is high time that France and the European Union (EU) support Morocco in its position concerning the Sahara, underlined, on Monday, Claude Kern, Senator of Bas-Rhin, vice-president of the European Affairs Commission at the French Senate.

The Spanish political pundit Pedro Ignacio Altamirano called, Saturday in Dakhla, for "urgently opening a humanitarian corridor" in order to allow the populations in captivity in the camps of Tindouf (South of the Algeria) to return to their motherland, Morocco, to live in peace and security.

Spanish journalist Patricia Medjidi Juez denounced, on Tuesday, the inhuman living conditions and the ordeal endured by the populations held captive in the Tindouf camps, on the Algerian territory, stressing that the leaders of the "polisario" are involved in the embezzlement of humanitarian aid intended for these populations.

A symposium under the theme: "Moroccan Sahara: historical and political genesis of the factitious conflict and the way to the solution", held on March 23 and 24 in Agadir, at the initiative of the "As-Sahra" association.
