Japan welcomed, on Friday, the adoption on October 31, 2025, of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797, which affirms that "a genuine autonomy, under Moroccan sovereignty, could be one of the most feasible solutions," stressing that it intends to act in accordance with this position at the diplomatic and economic levels.

Last Wednesday evening in Montpellier, the promising economic opportunities offered by the Kingdom’s southern provinces were highlighted during a forum organized by the Moroccan Consulate General in the city. The event brought together Moroccan and French economic stakeholders, elected officials, and other dignitaries.

International experts from various backgrounds praised the relevance of the Moroccan autonomy plan on Wednesday in Dakhla, calling it the only credible and realistic solution to end the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Gabon, Régis Onanga Ndiaye, reiterated on Tuesday in Libreville his country’s unwavering support for Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara.

Austria expressed on Wednesday its support for United Nations Security Council Resolution 2797 (2025) affirming that "genuine autonomy under Moroccan sovereignty could constitute a most feasible solution."
