The autonomy initiative in Morocco’s southern provinces, presented by the Kingdom, is the only viable solution to the artificial regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, given its credibility, seriousness, realism and the broad international support it enjoys, according to the Malabo Declaration issued at the end of the opening session of the second ordinary session of the Parliament of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC), held on Wednesday in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

Saint Lucia reaffirmed, Tuesday in New York, its support for Morocco’s Autonomy Initiative, presented by the Kingdom to definitively settle the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Togo renewed, Monday in New York, its support for Morocco's Autonomy initiative as the "most credible, realistic, and pragmatic" basis for a lasting political solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

Two prominent Japanese academics, Professor Kei Nakagawa and Professor Shoji Matsumoto, addressed the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, urging the international community to adopt a clear and objective approach to the Sahara issue.
